  • How can I stand up straight without always having to think about it?
  • How do I get rid of this chronic tension and anxiety for good?
  • Shouldn’t athletes be able to do the sport they love without injuries?
  • Is there something we can do to avoid some of the pain that ends up taking so many people to the hospital?
  • After more than 10 years of yoga, why does my neck still hurt?

These are the questions I’ve been asking since my discovery of yoga in 1991. Exploring movement in a yoga practice I struggled with flexibility, but I realized that I was more calm and sleeping better than ever. I started thinking about how we hold ourselves as we move. And I knew I wanted to work with people to find better ways of moving.

Rolfing® has helped me find answers to these questions.

Over time, I came to believe more and more that our bodies are designed to move and support us easily and without pain. But it wasn’t until I found Rolfing that I found a technique that sets out to reestablish the balance and ease of movement that is fundamental to every human being.

In 1996 I received my Associates Degree of Physical Therapy. In physical therapy, I have worked with people of all ages in a variety of settings; hospitals, rehab centers and long term care centers. I worked with older people who had become debilitated after a long illness; children with conditions from cerebral palsy to traumatic brain injury; and with people of all ages recovering from different illnesses, surgeries or accidents.

I believe that being human is an amazing adventure. I believe that easy, pain-free movement is available to each of us. And I believe that Rolfing can be an opportunity for an individual to explore ways to find more ease. In December of 2012, I completed my certification through the Rolf Institute® of Structural Integration in Boulder, Colorado.

    Hi Deb,
I got your name from Becky Holsen. I have been practicing yoga for several years and have been trying to stretch and rid myself of chronic pain. My right hip and low back, in the sacro-illiac joint area have been causing me a lot of pain. Becky suggested I get in touch with you for a consultation. Let me know how it works, and the fees involved.
    Thanks so much!
