Stephanie Whittler, originally from St. Louis, MO, began dancing at the age of three and is now a professional modern dancer, instructor and an Artistic Co-Director of City in Motion Dance Theater in Kansas City, MO. Her background includes training through the Royal Academy of Dance, American Academy of Ballet, the Cecchetti Council of America, and performances with the Gateway Ballet of St. Louis, Kansas City Ballet, and Minnesota Ballet. In 1999, Stephanie received a scholarship to attend the Conservatory of Music and Dance at UMKC, earning a BFA with an emphasis in dance performance. Throughout her years of rigorous training and performing, she has explored various ways to maintain a balanced mind and body with focus on acknowledging one’s individuality. In addition to her work with City in Motion, Stephanie is the ballet, modern dance, and Pilates instructor at Penn Valley Community College, and has taught Doga and Dancing with Your Dog classes at The Dogs’ Spot in Gladstone, MO.
