linda

Linda Putthoff
Director of Plaza Wellspring Studio

Trained in professional dance, yoga, and Pilates, Linda knows the power of movement. As a dancer, she performed for almost ten years and managed Kansas City's City in Motion Dance Theater for four years. She began studying Sivananda style yoga in 1978. She became certified as a Pilates instructor in 2002. She hopes to teach her students just how exquisite and elegant the body's design is. And if moved in a gentle, compassionate way, how resilient and strong it can be, despite the stresses of everyday life.

KT

Katie (KT) Dalzell Pilates instructor

Professional dancers have long depended on the restorative power of Pilates to prevent and heal injury.  KT is no exception.

While studying dance in New York City, she suffered extreme back pain.  Upon recommendation of her physical therapist, she took her first Pilates class and was hooked.

Studying with Team Pilates® in Kansas City, Mo. and Albuquerque, N.M., she has been working on her certification for the past two years.  She’s taught mat, circuit and reformer classes at Team Pilates® and at several dance studios.  Currently, she’s finishing up a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

For KT, Pilates is more than just a therapeutic remedy.  It is a way to feel nurtured and connected.   Each client comes to class with a unique goal.  Sometimes, that goal is to heal an injury, to get back in shape, or to find a new challenge.  KT tries to accommodate each of these goals through modification and feedback.  She uses touch and palpation to show clients how their muscles are performing and where they hold the most tension.  She wants all her clients to be comfortable and pain-free.

shani

Shani Enns Energy Healing

Born clinically dead, Shani Enns' body was being delivered to the morgue when life was suddenly and inexplicably breathed into her. This and other extraordinary experiences in early childhood endowed “The Miracle Baby” with sensitivities to subtle energy and realms beyond the third dimension. Shani was also instilled with a passion for helping people remember the true nature of their being - LOVE!

Shani’s formal training began at age eight at the AUM Center in Southern California, where she studied for seven years. As an adult, she has studied and earned certifications in many healing modalities, but none were as unlimited as the gifts and lessons of spirit. In 2005, Shani found Joey Klein, and has been traveling and studying spirituality and healing with him ever since. Shani has also studied healing with Her Holiness Sai Maa Lakshmi Davi, the first female in over 5,000 years of lineage to receive the title Jagatguru, which means Master of the Universe.

David Gulledge Quantum Biofeedback

As his study of the human body deepened, David realized there was more to health and healing than what traditional medicine offered. After earning a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology at Drury University, David finished a master’s degree in kinesiology at Kansas State University. His interest then turned to acupuncture, nutrition, homeopathy, Reiki and energetic medicine. To this training, he is now adding a doctorate of chiropractic medicine from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri. David found that quantum biofeedback incorporated several aspects of these alternative therapies into one powerful therapy. He was amazed when this innovative technology resolved his lifelong peanut allergy in just two sessions. David believes quantum biofeedback reflects the future in healthcare and gives those not helped by mainstream medicine another path to well-being.

Kyle Gulledge Quantum Biofeedback

After seeing a string of conventional doctors for a powerlifting injury he suffered in college, Kyle realized mainstream medicine had its limits. But just one visit to a chiropractor showed him the enormous potential in alternative healing. He finished his education degree with a specialty in exercise science at the University of Kansas, and added acupuncture, kinesiology, nutrition, homeopathy, neuro-emotional technique, Reiki and energetic medicine to his training. Currently, he is working on a doctorate of chiropractic medicine from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri. But he found quantum biofeedback encompassed some of the best healing aspects of all of these therapies. Today, he hopes to help bring this alternative therapy into mainstream healthcare, increasing the options for others frustrated with conventional paths.

lee anne

Lee Anne Jester Pilates instructor

Pilates’ emphasis on the mind/body connection became Lee Anne’s passion after her own mind/body connection suffered in a 1995 car accident. Injuries left her in a wheel chair, and everyday tasks became impossible. Neurologically, she eventually healed, but suffering a head trauma showed her the importance of the mind/body relationship. Fascinated by the healing power of Pilates, she studied Pilates through the Physical Mind Institute and Personal Best Pilates Studio. She also became a Personal Trainer/Physical Fitness Specialist at the Cooper Institute in Dallas, Texas. For the last eight years, she has taught students in a comfortable, fun, and relaxed atmosphere how perfectly the body operates when the mind listens, learns, and loves.

elisha

Elisha Wampler
Kung Fu Instructor, Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki Practitioner

For Elisha, the ancient practice of Kung Fu is about more than just rank, competition, and a great workout.  It is a discipline that challenges not only the physical body, but also the mind and spirit.  It’s dynamic and insightful.  It’s an eternal path upon which learning never ends, and, as his students explore this path, Elisha hopes to be both guide and fellow scholar.

His own journey began in 1995 when he began studying Xing Yong Chi Lu Chuan, a Shaolin 8 Animal Kung Fu style taught by the Shaolin monks of China.  Under the mentorship of Si Gung Scott Winokur, he became the Midwest Chinese Art Center’s highest-ranked Xing Yong Chi Lu Chuan student.  He has competed in, and now judges, several local and national tournaments.  He’s also taught Shaolin Kung Fu at the City in Motion Dance Theater since 2004 and is a member of the USA Xing Yong Chinese Martial Arts Association.

Elisha earned his associate degree in massage therapy at Heritage College in Kansas City, Mo. in 2006 and believes massage also promotes self-discovery.  Elisha is now studying the Eastern practice of Reiki, a form of energy healing, under the tutelage of Sacred Earth Arts instructor Regina Compernolle.  Because Reiki, Kung Fu, and massage share a rich Eastern tradition, they combine easily to offer his clients an integrated and holistic approach to wellness.
